All material is wood (African mahogany and basswood) and is milled to scale. The kit includes patterns to serve as templates, a set of hand crafted oars, leather oar stops, oar wraps and oarlocks. The kit also includes a pre-cut plexi-glass base for the model and an identifying brass plate. The stem post and transom are handcrafted for you in our shop, as are the chines. None of the material is pre-stamped. The modeler will  craft the boat following a protocol used by the original builder. Tools or glue are not included. However, the tools you will need are household items. Add $7.00 if you want us to include one bottle each of our recommended Cyanoacrylate (CA) "super thin" and "gap filling" glue.

This is a great project. For the experienced modeler plan on 15 to 20 hours. For the never-done-this-before modeler, plan on 25 -30 hours. While the instructions are very clear, and the kit is designed for the novice and experienced modeler alike, cost-free counsel is available. We are committed to supporting you through this project. Inquiries may be by phone or email or in person.
